About Dr. Seyi Adeyinka, MD MPH
(Shay-ee Ah-day-yin-kah)
Why I Do This Work
Curiosity about what it means to be “well” has guided me for as long as I can remember. I’ve explored that question as:
An anthropologist studying how culture shapes healing
A reproductive‑justice advocate uplifting marginalized voices at the UN and Planned Parenthood
A chronic‑disease epidemiologist examining public‑health policy from Mexico to American Samoa
A full‑spectrum doula & breathwork facilitator supporting people through pivotal life moments
A psychiatrist integrating evidence‑based medicine with psychedelic‑assisted therapy, women’s mental health, and energy practices
Across every chapter, I’ve seen that true healing happens when rigorous science meets an open, creative spirit.
When I’m not with patients, you’ll find me hand‑stitching naturally dyed fabrics, spinning yarn, or weaving small tapestries. My art practice keeps me grounded in process over perfection—the same philosophy I bring to your care. Small, mindful choices add up to big transformations.
